On Sunday 30th of November you can witness an old Dutch/Flemish tradition. It's the arrival in the Venetian harbour of Rethymno of St.Nicolas, here in Greece the patron saint for the sailors, but in Holland and Belgium the hero from the Children. On the 5th of December we celebrate presents evening and all the children wait anxious what they will recieve from "the Sint" On the 6th of December its the name day all over Greece and especcially in the city Agios Nicolaos.
The weather forecast looks cloudy for sunday, let's hope "Sinterklaas" will arive with a bit of November sunshine. The whole month has been nice, no rain in the finals please.
