My sincere apologies to all the forum members who received a spam email from forum member Celina. As soon as I realised what was happening I deleted her account. I will be monitoring this situation and if needs be I will further tighten the registration process. At the moment, anybody with a valid email address can register. It is impossible to guess someones motives, so if they dont play by the rules, I delete the account. So again, sorry this has happened.
I have made the registration process less automated, which means that before anyone can become a registered member, I will do some checks before I send out the email to activate the account. This will not have any impact on existing members. The reason for doing this is that in addition to the 'forum robots' (automated forum registration programs), there are a lot of people using a valid email address to register, but their only purpose is to send out spam emails to other users. I'll keep monitoring the situation, and inform you if any other changes are required.
