Michalis Karras started to learn the art of
handmade leather ware whilst studying architecture in Italy.
He was taught by the artisans of San Groce in Tuscany. On
his return to Greece, he based himself in the town of Rethymnon
where he started to mix his skills and knowledge with the local
culture.
He started the workshop in 1975. In 1990 he
was joined by Yiannis Spandidakis, working together on the
design and manufacture of leather handbags and belts. |
