Rethymnon Renaissance Festival 2009 - 12-22 July
|
|
| |

Since 2008 the Rethymnon Renaissance has undergone a
metamorphosis. For a short period Rethymnon gets transformed
into a medieval Venetian town and plays host to world-class
renaissance musicians. The programme also includes some
theatrical performances of plays from the Renaissance era.
A spectacular opening ceremony kicks off the festivities, and
the festival finishes with a similar closing ceremony. The theme
of this year's ceremonies is 'water'.
More information about the Rethymnon Renaissance Festival can be
